The SAGE winter testing window is now open. During this window, all tests (Summative, Interim, and Benchmark modules) are available. Please be advised that the winter window ends at the close of business on March 9th, 2018. Any benchmark, interim and summative test that have not been completed before this time will be force completed by the system. Please ensure that all of your students have completed their tests before this date.
Added: January 2, 2018The SAGE Fall testing window will close at the end of the day on Friday, December 16. SAGE Fall interim tests (Class Period and Full-Reporting) that have not been completed will be automatically forced complete after the 16th. Summative tests will not be touched. All SAGE testing will be closed until the Winter testing window opens on January 3, 2018. To view the USBE Assessment Schedule click here.
Added: December 13, 2017ALERT: In iOS 11.0 (iPads) a security risk was identified for iPads not managed by an MDM. The risk was that a user could pin a second app on top of the secure browser. The new iOS 11.1 has resolved this security risk. Please update your iOS devices to version 11.1 by December 15, 2017. After this date, iOS 11.0 will be blocked due to the security risk. If you have questions and/or concerns with this please contact Kim Rathke, [email protected].
Added: November 21, 2017ALERT: Chrome OS 61 and 62 are now available and supported for SAGE testing. However, there is a known issue with TTS tracking within those versions of the operating system. Google is working to resolve the issue, but we recommend waiting to update your Chrome operating system until we notify you that the issue has been resolved. If the Chrome operating systems have already been updated, you can continue to test, but students may experience tracking issues with TTS. If you have any questions, please contact Kim Rathke at [email protected].
Added: November 15, 2017ALERT: Apple has released iOS 11.1 for iPads in the App Store. This version corrects the security risk identified for iPads not managed by a MDM. We ask that any iPads on iOS 11.0 be updated to the new version 11.1 before testing.
If you had waited to upgrade, iOS 11.1 is now available and supported.
Added: November 8, 2017Notice: Practice clusters for the new SEEd standards are now available at the Training Site card on the SAGE Portal. We encourage all grade 6 – 8 teachers to share them with their students. Information on these practice clusters is available here.
Added: October 30, 2017ALERT: We have identified an issue with the new MacOS 10.13 High Sierra release. At this time we are blocking MacOS 10.13 for secure testing. We will provide updates regarding this release when we have more information.
Added: October 27, 2017Science Sample Clusters:
Sample clusters for all grades including 6-8 are available by clicking here.
Please note that these might not align to Utah standards but allow you to get familiar with the concept of science clusters.
SAGE science grades 6 – 8 practice tests aligned to Utah standards will be available shortly.
Please direct any questions about the samples to Scott Roskelley at [email protected]

ALERT: Apple has released iOS 11 for iPads. A security risk has been identified on this version of iOS for iPads not managed by an MDM. In these cases, the student could pin a second app on top of the secure browser (similar to picture in picture). Apple is aware of this issue and is working to correct it in a later release.
We recommend waiting to upgrade your iPads until this issue is corrected. In the meantime, USBE has elected to allow iOS 11 and asks that proctors of non-managed iPad test sessions monitor the student’s screens to ensure that there is only one app open during testing.
